ASPHALT modified rules
Asphalt Modified Rules
- Bodies: Must use approved Paper-type modified bodies from Reality Raceway, NY Modifieds, or Jer’s Bodies. No modifications allowed.
- All panels must be used that come with the body kit.
- Bodies must be cut on the lines and stapled together as intended.
- Bodies must be mounted in the intended place and may not be raked.
- No holes cut in body to release air
- Chassis: Must use JK2600 Brass Modified Chassis.
- Chassis may not be cut or drilled in any way.
- Chassis may be braced
- Car must weigh at least 145g
- All bumpers, bars, and chassis reinforcement must be sufficiently mounted in place and may not be actively mobile.
- All bumpers must be a minimum of 0.125” clear of track surface.
- All cars must have a Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, and Side Bars.
- Minimum .062” dia. tubing or rod for bumpers and bars.
- Front Bumper must connect to the chassis in 4 locations.
- Side bars must have full double-rear side-bars as a Modified would at the racetrack.
- Rear Bumper must have rectangular tubing and at least two bars connecting on either side of the rectangular tubing as support.
- Diagrams of intended bumper design on the back of this sheet.
- Any guide flag allowed
- Any oilites allowed, no ball bearings.
- Must use ⅛” front and rear solid axles, no hollow axles permitted.
- Pro-Track Daytona Stocker tires only. Must stay full width and must have the stock Pro-Track white lettering on sidewalls.
- Must use the short brass Womp spacer (0.125”) on the left side and the long brass Womp spacer (0.210”) on the right side.
- Motor: H&R Hawk 18,000 RPM
- Motor Motor may not be modified or opened up
- Must use 48p 8t Pinion and 27t Crown Gear
- May use any brand Pinion or Crown Gear
- No metal crown gears
- Clearance: .047”
- Car must pass .047” at the rear of the car.
- Minimum front tire diameter: .775”
- Minimum rear tire diameter: .790”
- If tires are at minimum diameter but do not pass clearance, the car will be deemed illegal and will need replacement rear tires.
